Well, after school started to wind down me and my friends started to hang out more. I've seen Star Trek twice and Up once. Star Trek is AMAZING, and its in iMax around here, can't wait to go see it, I also want to see all the old ones ~<3 I think I've found something new to nerd about.
Up was good, very cute.
My school had its senior trip to Kings Dominion (amusement park in case you didn't know), and I had a blast. I'm not normally a roller coaster person, so I wasn't expecting too much, but we decided to try one anyway that "didn't look that bad" (later we found out that it was rated the highest thrill rating the park gives rides, a 5 -- heh, yeah... first roller coaster was a big one). It was actually a lot of fun. Scary as shit though and I'd have to have some pretty good peer pressure to get on one again, but it was fun. We hung out most of the day in the water park where went on two other scary rides, had some fun in the wave pool, went down a few water slides, and went around the lazy river a few times
I graduated from high school,
Right now I'm at Setting Sail (orientation) at Christopher Newport University, and have to stay a few extra days for the Presidential Leadership Program introduction. Its not bad, its actually a lot of fun. I'm in a dorm, not with my actual roommate, but I like them anyway. I've made a few friends, learned my way around the campus more or less (its a small campus and we haven't gone in the academic buildings because we're not taking classes). The only complaint I have is that there's no wireless internet in the rooms, and I forgot to bring my cable, AND the internet in the dorm lobby is stupid and doesn't realize that I'm not connected when it says I am. So I have to go to one of the bigger buildings to use my internet, but it doesn't like MSN... eff my life... I'm going to be here until monday, so don't expect to hear much of me. When I come to school though I'll be bringing my cables so it won't be a problem.
Right now I'm waiting to sign up for my classes, I'm trying to keep the load down to 15 credits since that's considered "normal" and I want a little lee-way to adjust. I'm not convinced it'll be all that hard, but first semester I want to be careful just in case. If I get the classes I want (which I should since this is the first setting sail program, but may not because I'm one of the last people signing up because I'm near the end of the "B-De" category =/... Anyway, if I get them all I'll have General Chemistry I Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 8-8:50am, General Chemistry I Lab from 1-4:50pm on Thursdays, General Bontany from 8-8:50am on Tuesdays and Thursdays, General Bontany Lab from 1-4:50 on Tuesdays, The Quest for Camelot (an honors seminar, that I'm required to take because I'm in the honor's program) Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 11-11:50am, and ULLC (the Presidential Leadership Program's seminar that I'm required to take because I need a Leadership minor for this *rolls eyes* I don't even like leadership) Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 2-2:50pm. This leaves me with about 2 hours between each of my classes, always finishing before 5 and before 3 on Fridays. I have time to eat, will get to sleep in until 7:30 or so every morning *isn't planning on eating breakfast in a cafeteria since I only eat a piece of toast and there are grocery stores within walking distance and refrigerators in the rooms*. Thoughts?
